The National Disaster Management Organisation has asked Ghanaian to ignore social media speculations of an imminent earthquake in Ghana that will happen at 3:30 am on Sunday.
The organisation says the prediction is false and unscientific since earthquakes are not predictable.
They stated that an earthquake can happen at anytime and there is no science to predict the day and time it will happen.
They said in a statement on Saturday night that
earthquake cannot be predicted… it can occur at any time without warning…
They also said
NADMO therefore wishes to inform the general public that the said post in circulation has no scientific basis and must be disregarded
